With phytocosmetics from L’Erbolario, you support people, animals and the environment, promoting sustainable development.

L’Erbolario:

does not outsource any production to third-party countries or where human rights and fundamental workers’ rights are infringed or child labour or conditions of semi-slavery exist;

Adheres to the “International Ban Animal Testing Standard”; all its products are guaranteed by the LAV (Anti Vivisection League);

Has had, since 2002, an Environmental Management System (UNI EN ISO 14001 certification, cert. no. 497-2002-AE-MIL-SINCERT DNV);

Uses electricity produced by a 200kW photovoltaic park integrated with “Zero Impact®” Energy (LifeGate Energy);

Makes use of new plant solutions to minimise environmental impact;

Is always active in the search for environmentally friendly packaging: preferring recycled materials (which, in turn, are recyclable) as well as plastics such as Green PE and Green PET, obtained from renewable sources such as sugar cane. Which also minimises CO2 emissions;

Uses, for all paper items, only FSC certified paper®, according to the strict environmental and social standards of the Forest Stewardship Council® supporting the correct and responsible management of forest resources;

Is an honorary RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) member and supports this international organisation founded with the ambitious and important goal of promoting the cultivation and use of sustainable palm oil (and derived products);

All its agricultural activities, since 2005, have been certified by the ICEA (Istituto per la Certificazione Etica Ambientale – Institute for Environmental Ethical Certification), according to Reg. CE 834/07 on Organic Agriculture (operator code IT ICA C517);

Contributes to the funding of the FAI FAI (Italian Environment Fund) as a Corporate Golden Donor;

Supports the project “10,000 Food Gardens in Africa” by the non-profit organisation Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity.

Created and supports, together with Green Cross Italy, the “Ibisco, un fiore per l’Africa” project (Hibiscus, a flower for Africa).

The safety and effectiveness of all cosmetic products from L’Erbolario are certified by clinical tests supervised by the University of Pavia: formulated and made at the production site in Lodi immersed in the greenery of the Adda Sud natural park, our cosmetics are produced without discrimination or labour exploitation, under conditions of optimum health and safety.
